Join us Wednesday, February 8th at 6 p.m. to hear Nashville native and avid sailor, Jack Benz, share stories of the 19th century shipmaster Captain William Driver.   

Did you know that Capt. Driver’s grave (which happens to be located within our own Nashville City Cemetery) is one of only 3 places authorized by act of Congress where the flag of the United States may be flown the full 24 hours of a day?  Come join us as we learn about Capt. William Driver who coined the American flag’s nickname, “Old Glory”.  Mr. Benz will share these and more fascinating facts about Capt. Driver.
